Insta360 is launching its brand new ultra-small camera, the Insta360 GO 2. Weighing just 27 grams and measuring the size of your thumb, the GO 2 is set to become the world's smallest action camera and one that is sure to win many fans for its versatile range of shooting options.
Insta360 Launches the Tiny GO 2 Action Cam
Insta360 has built a considerable reputation for delivering powerful cameras in various interesting form-factors, and the "world's smallest action camera" certainly fits the bill.
Weighing in at 27 grams and standing 53cm high, the Insta360 GO 2 packs a lot of recording punch into its minute frame.
The Insta360 GO 2 comes equipped with seven different 1440p recording modes, including FlowState, Timelapse, TimeShift, HDR, and Slow Motion, recording in the high-quality H.264 codec with a maximum bitrate of 80Mbps.
You'll also note the substantial 1/2.3" image sensor, which is what you find in most full-sized action cams. The result is exceptionally crisp video capture in both 1080p or 1440p while also allowing for ultra-wide angle capture.
Ultra-wide capture is available at a 120-degree field of view or the slightly smaller 110-degree "ActionView" option.
Also, the Insta360 GO 2 is rated IPX8 as a full submersible waterproof camera. Insta360 rates it for up to 4M depth, perfect for some low-level underwater capture or action shots. Furthermore, the GO 2 includes a scratch-proof, hardened Lens Guard to protect the action cam during inevitable slips and slides that come while recording.
On-board, the Insta360 GO 2 includes 32GB memory. While this isn't upgradable, you can set the GO 2 to upload data from the camera to the companion app automatically. Once uploaded, Insta360's FlashCut 2.0 AI editing tool can start cutting and stitching your capture together, ready for upload.
Also on-board, the camera includes a 210mAh battery that lasts for around 30 mins 1440p recording. There's also the charging carry and recording case, which holds another 1,100mAh and stretches recording time to 150 minutes.
Better still, the charging carry case can also double as a remote for the GO 2 and comes with a handy selfie stick mounting point for extended reach recording.
